Comparison
Meddle vs Retell

The real difference
A graph you draw, or a brief you write
Retell
Every transition is a condition
A Conversation Flow is nodes and edges. Each node holds a small piece of logic and a condition decides which node comes next. You get predictable paths, and you own every path you drew.
Meddle
One prompt, tools it can reach for
The model gets your instructions and a list of self-documenting tools. It decides which to call and when. Ordering, where it matters, comes from a tool naming the tools that must run first.
Why we chose it
We shipped a graph and retired it
Every branch you draw is a branch you then have to steer a caller into. Ours steered people down paths that no longer matched what they had just said, so we deleted the runtime instead of patching around it.

Questions
What buyers ask
Can Retell keep Australian call data in Australia?
Does Meddle have a flow builder like Retell's Conversation Flow?
How do the prices compare?
What happens when the agent cannot help?
Can I try both before choosing?
Judge it on a phone call.
Build the same agent on both and ring them. Meddle takes an afternoon to stand up and every call comes back scored and readable turn by turn.
